How Does It Work? ECC is a powerful English Immersion program that can be run in any location. If invited to a school, we will arrive with our staff, curriculum, administration and supplies, and produce a program designed specifically for your students. We have a wide variety of activities, and will select the ones that best fit your students’ aims and goals, as well as your school’s facilities and the length of the program.
師資
每一個校室將會有一個外籍教師以及一位中籍教師。他們將會以夥伴的方式來進行合作教學。我們的外籍教師來自於不同的英語系國家，以致於有不同的能力、才能、個性、和背景。我們的中級教師也擁有高度的英語能力還有豐富的教學經驗。我們呈現的是一個優秀且高度專業的師資團隊。
Our Teachers. Every classroom will have one foreign teacher and one local teacher. They will work together as partners to ‘team teach’. Our foreign teachers come from a variety of English speaking countries and have a range of diverse abilities, talents, personalities and backgrounds. Our local teachers have a high level of English ability and experience teaching. We demand a high level of excellence and professionalism from all of our teachers.
五大原則
1. 簡明易瞭的英文最好。有很多的字彙量並不代表你可以把英文說或是理解地很好。事實上，很多為了托福考試而背誦的單字，對於英語 母語者來說他們是不會在一般 的對話中使用的。因此，我們不需要花費時間教你困難的單字或是複雜的文法。相對地，我們會鼓勵你去使用你已經知道的字，去清楚的、容易地、準確地去表達你 的想法和意見。
Simple English is better English. Having a huge vocabulary doesn’t mean you can speak or understand English well. In fact, many of the words you memorize for TESOL or English tests are rarely used by native speakers in ordinary conversation. Therefore – we won’t waste time teaching you big words or complicated grammar. Instead we’ll encourage you to use what you already know to clearly, easily and expertly express your own ideas and opinions.
2. 學習、練習、應用。雖然我們有著很多不同用來增加不同英文使用方法的課程，我們的對於主題式課程之主要教學的策略則為教導你方式去表 達你自己。(句型和單 字) 讓你聽一位英語母語者適當地且自然地使用該句型在對話中，然後再給你機會去使用你經由分組練習所學過的英文。最後，我們會利用有趣的活動和角色扮演去重複 練習該目標語。
Learn, practice, apply. Although there are a variety of kinds of lessons which aim to increase your exposure to different types of English usage, our basic teaching strategy for topic based lessons is to give you the tools to express yourself (sentence patterns and vocabulary), let you listen to a native speaker use the patterns appropriately and naturally in conversation, then give you a chance to use what you’ve learned through pair or group work. Finally we’ll repeat the target language with a fun activity or role-play.
